Welcome
Hello everyone and thanks for visiting my on homepage. Kick off your shoes, have a look around and enjoy.
It is 2010!- I am running at the speed of gig as always! December was busy for me and I was Blessed to be making so much music. I played the Remo World Drum Tower for the Tournament of Roses Band Fest as a part of the Rose Bowl festivities. It is like no other instrument in the world, and I always have such a great time playing it. Rumble King played some outstanding shows including New Year’s Eve…so much joy making music in that band. We have some great gigs this month…including Downtown Disney…it is FREE to see us so come on out. Additionally I will be recording with Grammy winner Mike Acosta and outstanding Educator Scott Belck to kick off 2010. Rumble King will be doing a webcast for YAMAHA from Disneyland….and I am very excited about it! I have some other great gigs coming up….so check out the calendar page.
I am on the Unity Award winning Gospel Song and Gospel Album Of The Year. This award is known as ‘the Catholic Grammy’ and it is quite an honor. Ted Perlman did a great job Producing and recording this record, and I am proud to be a part of it.

VINYL is on iTunes NOW….check out the tunes…then download….it rocks!
D’Haene’s new CD Vinyl is out….here is what the critics are saying:
“D’Haene have been added to my list of bands that are slowly restoring my faith in modern rock”
“Vinyl” is D’Haene’s latest high energy offering. It’s rock music with peaks and valleys in all the right places.
This band has a very rich and mature set of skills with a sound that conveys musical inspiration across several genres and time periods. This is rock and roll with some damn meat to it. Everyone should know about them.
“4 out of 5 signatures
Unsigned The Magazine
“There is an impressive range of styles and influences going on here. When I listen to the range of this one and the quality of musicianship, it kinda makes me wonder how this band has slipped through the major label radar.”

I am on the latest CD by Rumble King “One More For The Road”. Click on the CD cover at the right and get yourself a copy today! We have really been gigging a lot recently, and the band is sounding better than ever. We will be back at Disneyland when I return from the road…and you should come and check it out.
I am on the REMO website in an article I wrote about a wonderful even I facilitated at. Go here to read it.
Check my calendar page for the details of my travels and perhaps I will see you out on the road or in line for the next great coaster ride!
Here is a little taste of the Lucy Lawless concert at CityWalk in LA shot by fans click HERE and HERE and HERE.
D’Haene is still drawing a ton of attention in concert and on the internet-check out: www.garageband.com, www.iradiola.com, www.barikada.com (that one is in Bosnia everyone) and the CD is still doing well on www.cdbaby.com. We are on 100 or so college radio stations as of the beginning of the month, and the list is growing-check

I am also the Jazz Drum Set Instructor at the Miami Valley Jazz Camp in Centerville, Ohio. I taught “Sammy K’s Groove Boot Camp” concept of intense Drum Set styles, tuning, set up of the drums, discussion of tone production and the importance of cymbal and drum head selection. This is a great program to get young drummers ready for the week of Jazz instruction at the camp, and I am excited to be teaching it. If you know any students near Ohio, this is the place to send them.
I am on the release by Rex Merriweather “This Ain’t Your Daddy’s Big Band.” It is receiving strong reviews, and it is a modern version of the big band format-no society music here! To hear and purchase this CD go to www.stunttrumpet.com for info or here to purchase http://cdbaby.com/cd/rexmerriweather
In the mean time, look for me in line for the next great coaster ride…or on the first tee….
Blessings,
