December has been a wonderful month for me-recording with Esther Vallentine and Rex Merrweather’s Big band for her CD/New Year’s Eve with Michael Levin’s tribute to the Rat Pack/played the 69th annual Christmas evening service at First Baptist Church in Pasadena/along with some other great local gigs….livin the dream baby!

I played some wonderful shows over the weekend in AZ/was part of an amazing Christmas Program at First Baptist Church of Pasadena last night-made my monthly appearance on the Christopher Gabriel Program-tomorrow is the annual Mike Acosta Christmas Goof in Santa Monica-livin the dream!
A mighty wind and many gigs

December started with 100mph+ winds here in SoCal….and I nearly had a full sized tree go through my windshield….it was a serious storm here. The GREAT news is that I am playing more than I ever have in December! Rex Merrweather is playing some private events, and recording a CD. Devil Doll is taking to the road, and I am appearing on the Christopher Gabriel Program once again.
Looking forward to a wonderful month of music making….and tree dodging.

I met one of my heroes-3 time Winston Cup Champion Darrell Waltrip while in Hawaii. I have always wanted to meet him-and I am thankful that he was as just as cool to me as you would hope a hero would be. Thanks DW-you are still the man!
great music on the Big Island
Did two wonderful gigs with the Jocelyn Michelle Jazz Organ Band on the island of Hawaii. Everyone played well, the crowds were solid, and the weather is perfect! I am so blessed to play with this group of folks-come see us in LA.

Played a great set of Jazz with one of my favorite Musicians last night….Matt Falker. Also met Frank Abraham…a very solid player himself..what a joy to play music with those two. The Friends of the Family is a wonderful organization….please check them out

Had the pleasure of going to the CBS studios and attending the CSI NY wrap party featuring the Lt Dan Band. Danny Gottlieb was both solid as a rock, and as good a dude as there is. The band was in fine form, and I saw the end of the World Series from a trailer on the CBS lot…ah…livin the dream folks!
